Dear Melli Movers and Shakers~
Todays trunk-show went well! Thank you for coming and bringing your friends and family! How totally lovely! Somehow, last night, my memory started coming back together again...I'm a little nervous to see ( and really HEAR) myself on the video, but it's all a growing process. And last night proved the process is in fact moving along! The moment we begin to grow at all, we begin to learn, and really it never stops does it? My hope is that long after I'm gone, Melli will remain. Melli Inc will be a legendary company, built with graceful strength, great compassion, a drive to succeed and a desire to truly help the world smile. All of you that support me now, are part of this history that will be. The up and coming empire of Melli Inc is indeed progressing. Very, very, cool. ;)

You never know...
Be kind to people...even on the worst of days, both yours and theirs...you never know what they may be struggling with. I've met people that were sweeter than cotton~candy...only to find them nasty a week later. And vice~versa. Everybody struggles with something. Each persons "triggers" are different than the next. Much like snowflakes, we are all truly different. The greatest of us, the most powerful, graceful, beautiful, unique etc, share the same qualities, but it's the strength of our own character that enable's us each to utilize them differently. Somebody said to me that after watching "Coco Before Chanel", "She used men!"...she was repulsed. I saw the movie and saw it in a much different light. She had a clear head on her shoulders, she knew what she wanted, where she was going, who she was, and HOW to get it done. Don't judge a book by it's cover...even if the cover is pissy. You just never know.

"Lola"
How could anybody NOT like Aerosmith, The Kinks, and Led Zeppelin??? Really? Music in general is something that always I must have on...not a "if I'm in the mood" it's just a has to be in my life. Classic Rock, and really most things from the 20's throughout the mid 90's...the rest I'm a lot more picky. Pearls and rock...you just cannot go wrong. Ever. ;)

"Little...But Oh My..."
"Little...But Oh My". This was said about my great grandfather. Similarly, I've adopted things like, " Melli you may be small in stature...but there's NOTHING little about you". One of my favorite things to remind myself going into any situation at all, is,
"Have passion enough on the inside, to rival the wildest of any storm...but on the outside, always resemble much more, the calm before it". And every morning upon waking, " I did it yesterday, I'm doing it already today, and tomorrow it'll be that much easier". There's one other that is bitter-sweet in it's comfort. Bitter because the truth isn't always easy, sweet because lying is always more difficult. " Honesty on Monday most likely will bring hell through Wednesday...maybe even Thursday...however on Friday when you've opened your eyes, delving into the weekend will be much more pleasurable".
As hard as we work, and as much as we try, life just isn't as easy as we'd like...and the rocks in the road are never what we imagined they'd be in our wildest dreams.
My own opinion is simply this..."one can laugh, or one can cry...the choice is our own to make".
