It's funny how things work...how things happen, the people we meet, when we meet them...and the things in life that make us step back and say wow. After paying more than too much for various people to do various things and help in various ways...it's interesting to me that the first "big" thing has come rather, from my friends...and at that, it's been free. No "I Owe You's"...No expectations...just the hope that their good deed's will have helped me in some way. Despite their own struggles for work, for health, for sanity...for life, and yet out of the clear blue sky, for no reason except to make my day a little easier, they've shown me kindness. I'm writing this, though I've thanked them...because it should be seen...and documented that our greatest armory isn't that of guns or bombs...it's the opposite...something that will win any battle...friendship, love, kindness and the good energy that it surrounds itself with. Like does attract like...whether you like it or not. Good and Evil do balance each other...the Laws of Attraction do exist...Opposites Attract...etc...In thinking even back to prom...it was fun sure...but it wasn't the best or the worst night of high school...there are other more important things we all remember...Just more thoughts from this mind of mine that never seems to stop. So I'm a selfish person...or am I? This question has been brought to my attention a lot lately. A very dear person ( who indeed must be an angel herself) said tonight, that often times " we confuse self preservation with being selfish". If you feel your soul is dying, you do what you need in order to keep life thriving. Now then...after a very difficult day, in an all too real reality of un-easy...Here's something fun!
Thank you to my little loves, Jen and Angi for bringing Ms.Pauley Perrette a necklace I designed for her...AND surprising me with a photo of her wearing it!!!!! She is my favorite character on TV, though I've only met her briefly once...she herself seems to be a lovely individual.
On a different note altogether...because I've got so many I'd like to do...I'm pulling things out of every nook and cranny for tonights Melli-Bet. Not any one theme...but a lot of inside secrets. Yes, I'm very aware that I'm a geek...and very proud to admit it. I'll bat my lashes for you with my Pearls on...and I'll smile sweetly while doing so...but I just might be laughing my ass off inside. ;)

Attack of the Glamazons/Little
Dear MeMo & Sha~
There's a saying that dates back to who knows when..."Good things come in small packages". In all fairness, my own personal belief is that, as people, we come in all shapes, sizes, colors, etc...We also have very different idea's when it comes to beauty. While I cannot lie, if I had a fashion show to put on...rather WHEN I do, I'll have tall, waify, young women, with high cheek-bones, and preciously innocent faces, cherub lips etc prancing gracefully down the runway...HOWEVER, that's one part of a very detailed puzzle in life. At sixty inches tall ( and ok, 5'1 barely if I stand up as straight as I possibly can) it's extremely hurtful to hear people say that only "Glamazons" are beautiful. I'm short, I'm sweet...and the right parts of me come to the right points. The contours of my body are soft, graceful, and strong. My cheekbones are high...though I'm technically not. In a waiting room recently, somebody asked me if I did modeling for cosmetics...because " your eyes are doe eyes...with knowing behind them...your lips are perfectly shaped...and your face...THAT face! I'm surprised your not a model...are you really not??" Well, that about made my month...and then today, when a group of (probably) eleven year old boys said to me "Hey you wanna spray?" They were using the hose to wash (likely their parents') cars... then after I held my arms up to the sky, spun around gracefully like a ballerina, and got absolutely soaked...in a tight white tee...one of the guys turned to his friend and as I'm bouncing away said "Damn...what a babe!" Well now THAT made my month again...and then I came home.
Somebody for whom I hold a great amount of respect for... who has the ability to completely deflate my ego...or send it the opposite direction and souring to the moon... said " well, don't be too excited, one day they'll grow up and realize we're in Los Angeles...and we've got models here". To this my heart sank...and truthfully so did a little of my soul...Foolish on my part to let myself be hurt...foolish of my friend for knowing he could hurt me.
So, here's my very wise take on today...first of all, good things come in all sizes...be it a set of head-lights on a car...or on a girl. ;) Second...for whatever reason, we are unable to alarm our hearts as we do our homes, or our business vaults, etc...and this is an issue. Third, there's nothing wrong with being a "Glamazon"...more power to you...
BUT if for any reason, any man, woman, or child thinks for one second that a tall, skinny, busty babe knows more what she's doing than me??? Well then, I've got four words for you... LITTLE...BUT OH MY.
In every sense of these words...anything going through your dirty,or well poised minds right now, your all absolutely correct...It's quality not quantity...less is more...and this "little" babe not only packs one hell of a punch...but you bet your ass I can back up the "Oh My" better than most.

First "Real" Interview/Melli-ish.
Dear MeMo & Sha~
I've not slept in a while now...one long story after another. This morning, somehow I did manage to pull myself out of the non-sleeping coma that I'd been in...yes totally sober. KCAL 9 News in Los Angeles is doing something with California Adventure TV...and they featured your's truly...well, they will soon. Assuming I didn't drive them completely batty. The man in charge ( Cole) was VERY NICE and exceedingly patient. As was the VERY young girl that will be hosting it. Because a good friend was coming with me, I didn't cancel this morning...I was wiped out...Rockstar didn't even wake me up...the closer I got to the shoot, the more "awake" I became though. It took about fifteen takes for my head to start working...and even when it did, I'm pretty sure my mouth wasn't. I have this habit...I speak "Melli". It's endearing, and sweet, and anybody that truly loves me, does in fact understand it. Not naming names, there's one person in particular that can actually speak it along with me by mouth...and through body. ;) So yes, I was sitting with one knee up...as always I do...and against the green screen...with an insanely hot light pointed directly at me...and a very ( ridiculously adorable ) man watching from the wings...and the one thing that kept going through my head??? "Get used to this Mell...it's going to be more and more often...get a book...learn the m*th*r f*ck*n language...OR teach the world how to speak Melli.
Anyway, I wore my dark jeans, a simple black kimono sleeve top, violet flats...and as always, Pearls wrapped three times. And to plug me and my sparkle even more than just through my wildly cute voice, ( yes I do happen to love it now as much as I hated it as a child)...I wore a lavender Swarovski Crystal, Cultured Pearl, and White Gold bracelet... Diamonds may very well be a "girls" best friend...but I'm a grown-up... I wear Pearls. ;)
